NDR-IEL Holds Bi-Mission Congress, Equips 1,500 Leaders for MissionReach26
South Philippine Adventist College, Matanao, Davao del Sur | Al Ray Lazado
DAVAO CITY — The Davao Mission and South Central Mindanao Mission united for a joint congress on the Nurturing, Discipling, and Retaining (NDR) Program-Integrated Evangelism Lifestyle (IEL) at South Philippine Adventist College on February 14, 2026.
Held under the theme "MissionReach2026: Integrated for Mission," the event gathered an estimated 1,500 evangelism leaders from local churches across the two missions. Pr. Rene Rosa, SePUM NDR-IEL Director, oversaw the congress, which aimed to orient and prepare leaders for the year's evangelistic programs.
Guests from the Southern Asia-Pacific Division (SSD) led the morning lectures. Pr. Arnel Gabin, SSD NDR-IEL Director, presented the division-wide MissionReach26 initiative, while Pr. Ian Felicitas, SSD Field Secretary, delivered the keynote on "The Theological Foundation of Mission," emphasizing that discipleship is a lifelong journey of walking in Jesus' steps.
Afternoon sessions provided practical training on life coaching, entering unentered areas, and mobilizing churches for community service. The event culminated in a powerful commitment message from Pr. Danielo D. Palomares, SePUM President, who inspired the 1,277 registered delegates and many more unregistered participants to dedicate themselves fully to the MissionReach26 vision.
With local leadership now energized, the congress has set the stage for a successful evangelism program in the year ahead.
