The sunny morning of October 23, 2025 reflected a bright gift to the present and future church members of Sta. Cruz, Davao Del Sur- a mega church building. And on this day, the ground-breaking ceremony commenced its construction.

 

By its president, Pr. Rey Merin, Davao Mission’s (DM) administration and some staff led out in the ceremony, warmly joined by Southeastern Philippine Union Mission (SePUM) administration and staff, as its president, Pr. Dan Palomares, served as the keynote speaker.

 

Hon. Maila Arellano, the barangay captain where the church lot is located happily welcomed our project, emphasizing that spiritual programs of Christian churches such as ours are the solutions to juvenile and family problems that right now troubles the community. Atty. Michelle Orpilla, one of the municipal councilors, also expressed her joy of the visible presence of our church, which will soon be an important landmark in Sta. Cruz.

 

More than an aesthetic icon of our church, this mega-church will offer the beauty of spiritual worship and warmth of Christian fellowship, as well as programs on health, community stewardship and moral recovery, which will be beneficial to the community and beyond.
