DAVAO DEL SUR— The Davao Mission held its Third Officers’ Convention for Clusters 4 and 5, gathering 538 church officers for a day of orientation, spiritual grounding, and leadership strengthening at South Philippine Adventist College, Km. 68, Camanchiles, Davao del Sur.
The convention brought together local church leaders from the two clusters, representing various districts within the mission territory. The program opened with a plenary session that set the spiritual and organizational direction of the gathering. Following the plenary, participants were organized into breakout sessions by department, allowing focused discussion and instruction tailored to specific areas of church service. These sessions included Adventist Youth leaders, church clerks, deacons and deaconesses, Sabbath School superintendents, treasurers, and head elders.
Each group addressed practical concerns, clarified responsibilities, and shared insights related to effective local church leadership and ministry. The gathering emphasized the importance of collaboration, shared responsibility, and alignment with the church’s mission. By providing space for dialogue and departmental guidance, the convention aimed to equip officers with a clearer understanding of their roles and strengthen their capacity to serve their congregations faithfully.
