About AdventistBookCenter.com

Welcome to AdventistBookCenter.com.
AdventistBookCenter.com is the online store for a network of Christian bookstores in the United States, Canada, Guam, and Bermuda, called Adventist Book Centers®, or ABCs. The site is owned and maintained by Pacific Press® Publishing Association. All the materials on the site are published or distributed by Pacific Press® Publishing Association. Where available, local Adventist Book Centers® provide the fulfillment services.
When you place an order, it is automatically sent to the participating Adventist Book Center® serving your geographical area. There it is processed, packed, and shipped. Your credit card is charged by the local ABC, at the time the order is shipped, not automatically when you place the order, as it is on some sites. This system assures that your order receives the personal attention it deserves and that it is shipped, whenever possible, from a location near your shipping address, thus saving you shipping time and money.
Some geograhic territories may be covered by more than one participating Adventist Book Center®, or you may be shipping to someone that is not in the same territory as your billing address. When this occurs, the site will ask you to select from a list of Adventist Book Centers® that you would like to receive your order. This allows you to select a location closer to the shipping address so you can save on shipping, or process the order through your local store where you prefer to shop.
Your local ABC will let you know by e-mail when your package has been shipped, and if there are any questions or probs associated with your order, they'll e-mail you all the necessary information.
So if you're a regular ABC customer, relax! Your friendly ABC staff will be serving you through the internet, just as they do in the store. If you're a new ABC shopper, welcome! Click on the Contact Us to see the full list of Adventist Book Centers® participating in this website. We hope you'll find just what you're looking for, on the web or in a real "bricks and mortar" ABC. And, either way, we hope you'll visit us often.
Home Health Education Services
Historically Home Health Education Service started in January, 1994 as Tanzania Adventist Book Center (TABC) under the former Tanzania Union Mission of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. TABC operated for about six years which ended in May, 2000 and since then TABC was entrusted to the management of the Tanzania Adventist Press (TAP) up to December, 2007. It was a big challenge to run TAP and TABC under one management which prompted for the solution which was to start HHES in order to cater for ABC’s/Book depositories and Literature Evangelists in a better way.
On early January, 2008 in a very humble beginning Home Health Education Service (HHES) Tanzania Union was organized with two workers Manager and Treasurer and one personnel. To begin with, HHES was given an inventory worthy of 89 million. HHES under this new management worked very hard to the extent that it managed to provide benefits for Literature Evangelists and other workers.
Toward the end of 2013 there was a split of Tanzania Union Mission which resulted in having two organized Unions; Northern Tanzania Union Conference (NTUC) and Southern Tanzania Union Mission (STU). This split of the Union resulted also to the split of the Home Health Education Service which took place on March, 2015; therefore we currently have HHES NTUC and HHES STU. Home Health Education Service in Northern Tanzania Union Conference (HHES NTUC) offices are situated in Arusha Town, Njiro area. TheNorthern Tanzania Union Conference (NTUC) of the Seventh day Adventist Church where HHES belongs is comprised of four Conferences and two fields which are South Nyanza Conference (SNC), Mara Conference (MC), North East Tanzania Conference (NETCO), West Tanzania Conference (WTC), Nyanza Gold Belt Field (NGBF) and Rift Valley Field (RVF). In these Conferences HHES operates One Hundred Book Depositories. At present HHES is administering 1,262 Literature Evangelists and twelve workers. Home Health Education Service is dedicated to strengthening the home through health and character education; provides a wide range of publications that meet that need of making the Bible easy to understand and relevant to the problems of contemporary living.
